The picture of the gun shows something stronger and more devastating then a gun as it has beef defeated and just left in a bin showing its not needed by the convict as he just carries a small pistol and doesn't even fire it as he is all mighty and strong.
This second still shot quickley helps to establish the genre of the film and definatley sets the scene with powerful images of terror and pain with guns.
A still shot of the first thing you see when my film starts. The Media Institution I choose to use after looking at its history of release genres and deciding that this was the most approprate for mine.

What I Think Of It

This is my completed opening sequence, the fast sequence works well with the titles intermixed. The non-digetic music adds to the tension and suspense. The mise en scen of the location also adds to the tense atmosphere which creates enigmas - Why is the man on the run? What has the convict man done? The lighting is daylight. The fact that the SWAT mens faces are never shown helps create even more enigmas and makes the audience feel on edge. The location creates a tense and eerie atmosphere which makes the audience engrossed and involved in the film. The location used is to make the audience jump as they wonder what is to happen next!
