An opening sequence is a sequence of events that happen in a sequence in order to deliver an appropriate set of events. It also establishes a genre of a film, this is done by the introduction of characters, establishing the setting, and using appropriate props and costumes. Another important element of an opening sequence is creating enigmas, this interests the audience as they want to know what will happen next.

My film opening sequence is going to be a horror and thriller.
Its going to be filmed in Darwen at a factory setting.
The mix of thriller and horror is a good combination as it creates an exciting and waning combination to entertain an audience.

And they get to chasing him as he runs into a nearby factory.
